Many of the unethical "offer mills" that offer tax payment services that can be satisfied by the carry-over method have been forced to close in the past few years.  If you are considering a compromise, do not make or agree to the payment until your business is considered a viable candidate for the program. If you don't know what it means, download IRS Form 656 and Related Form 433 and write out your thoughts...If you have assets and decent income, you won't be eligible! It is not what you owe, but about your ability to pay.
