Stockton, CA
Stockton (Stockton) is a city in California, the United States of America, and the district office location of San Joaquin County (the fifth largest agricultural county in the United States). According to the 2005 estimates by the Department of Finance of California, Stockton has a population of 279,513 and is the 13th largest city in California. Stockton is the fourth largest inland city in California, following Fresno, Sacramento and Baker's Field.
The area is surrounded by fertile agricultural land, and food industries such as canned fruits, wine, and dairy products are thriving. It used to be called Tulliberg, but in 1847 it was renamed after Admiral Stockton of the United States Navy. During the Gold Rush, it was used as a supply base for goods.
It is one of the most dangerous cities in the United States with a high crime rate.
